(Flashback) Sunday Night Heat: 12/14/03

Sunday Night Heat - 12/14/03

What up, Informants? Welcome to the Sunday Night Heat recap. Tonite, Heat is live from Orlando, Florida. It's Armageddon. I'm Doug M., the Informers resident degenerate with all the Heat action. Al Snow & The Coach are calling the action. Let's get to it.

The show opens and we see the fans going into the arena. Looks like a big crowd. We move to Al and Coach on the inside, as they start to recap the matches.

The video starts to play as we see a recap of the Trish - Jericho - Lita - Christian mini soap opera that has had us all so enthralled over the past month. We see the intrigue, the passion, the drama, the kiss and finally, the betrayal. And tonite, the culmination of it all as we get a "Battle of the Sexes" when Lita & Trish square off against Christian & Chris Jericho.
Terri Runnels talks to Lita & Trish. Trish admits she was falling hard for Jericho and feels hurt. Lita calls Christian a liar, and says tonite, they're taking the fight to Jericho and Christian.

Later tonite - It's John Heidenreich versus Rico w/ Miss Jackie.

WWE REWIND: From 2 weeks ago on RAW, Mick Foley comes in at the end of the six man main event and plays referee as he counts the three count on Randy Orton for RVD.

Al and Coach start to talk about the match-up between RVD and Randy Orton for the Intercontinential Championship. Al's good friend, Mick Foley is the special referee, and Al isn't all that pleased.

We go back to RAW last Monday and see La Resistance confront co-GM Mick Foley. They're going to beat his ass. But here comes the Rock and the crowd goes crazy. Rock goes through all his catch phrases and has some fun with the French Fries. They attack, but after a brief scuffle, meet Mr. Socko and the "People's Elbow" (plus a Foley elbow for good measure!) The Rock & Sock Connection is alive and well.

Al and Coach talk a bit more about RVD versus Orton and strongly hint that we shoukd buy the PPV - now!!!

BOD-MAN Slam of the Night: We see Matt Hardy slam the cage door on Lita, thus costing her the cage match against Victoria at Raw Roulette a few weeks ago.

In the back, Matt Hardy and some wrestlers (Stevie Richards, Tommy Dreamer, plus others) are watching and Matt is just all happy about what he did. He talks some crap about Lita and brags about dumping her. Here comes Maven, in his face. Maven stands up for the Diva Extreme and punks Matt out. Matt threatens to show a little "Mattitude" and goes to see his boss, Eric Bischoff about making a match.

Coach & Al talk up Mark Henry. We see a highlight reel of the walking wookie wannabe as he powers over everyone on the RAW roster, leading up to tonite.

We cut to a scene from earlier today as Booker T arrives at the arena.
Al & Coach then move the conversation on to the big fight between Shawn Michaels and Batista. We see some video from Survivor Series as Batista interferes and causes HBK to lose the match. Stone Cold goes bye bye. The confrontations continue as they build up the suspense and trepidation. Batista chokes out HBK. Tonite, the "show-stoppa" wants revenge.

We see a commercial next for the WWEShopzone.com. It's free shipping, so buy something already..

Al & Coach plug the BringBackStoneCold.WWE.com petition (because they have to - not because they want to) and then plug the new RAW magazine. Kane is on the cover. Is this a sign? Can this be his night?

Big Announcement: Two new matches added to the card.

Maven versus Matt Hardy Version 1

WWE Women's Championship Match
Molly Holly (c) versus "My Beloved" Ivory

* Personal note: Two quick predictions for these new matches. Matt Hardy over Maven and my true love, my beloved Ivory once again becomes a champion as she gets the pin over Molly.

Al and Coach turn the announce duties over to Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler

Rico (with Miss Jackie) versus John Heidenreich

Rico is already in the ring as John H. quickly comes down the aisle. Rico does a quick go-behind and a little grind for good measure. Heidenreich doesn't like being "grinded" (at least not in public) and throws a mean elbow. Rico with the headlock and a little kiss to big John. He freaks and gives Rico an inverted atomic drop. Rico goes to the floor and crawls around for a little bit.

Here comes Heidenreich in close behind and he tosses Rico back into the ring. Some stiff shoulders and a clothesline by Heidenreich. Miss Jackie climbs on the apron and distracts little Johnny's best friend. Rico plants a kick to the midsection and scores with a version of the neckbreaker. The cover, the referee counts, and Rico scores with Big John Heideneich as he gets the pin.

Winner: Rico

JR & The King talk about the 3 men involved in the main event. We see some video recap of the HHH - Goldberg encounters. Kane decides that he wants to play too, and joins in the fun. Eric Bischoff makes the match - Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Goldberg (c) versus Kane versus HHH. We then get to see an excellent video highlighting all three men and the events leading up to tonite.

We move again to the back where Evolution is recieving a pep talk from the Nature Boy Ric Flair. Orton takes the IC title. Batista takes out HBK. And HHH gets back the world championship. Tonite, Evolution takes it to a whole new level.

We go back to Lawler and JR for one last time as they tell us to hurry up and buy the PPV. And that's it. A lot of video filler, but the buildup for the PPV was well done. Plus, we get two bonus matches added, and we get to see Rico put the big Heidenreich in his place. That alone was the highlight of the show for me. Well, the PPV is on, so I'm outta here. Until next time, this is Doug M. Have a great night and take it light.

GO IVORY!!!!!
