(Retro) Some Random Thoughts On Monday Night RAW - October 7, 2003

Some Random Thoughts On Monday Night Raw - 10/07/03

Hey all! Just figured I'd give a few comments and random thoughts as they pertain to Monday Night Raw.

As far as the stunt with the limo crashing into the truck with Kane inside - the fans were chanting "bullshit!" I fully agree.

Rosey and Kane actually had a decent match -espically when you consider it was Rosey and Kane.

Gail and Lita's match was good, but about 3-4 minutes too long. Lita was winded at the end - and that botched move that they turned into a roll - it's just a stroke of luck that Lita's neck didn't get reinjured.

Molly makes a damn good commentator - it's true!

Lawler did a good job of "selling" the Kane angle, but JR is quickly losing any credibility with his half-assed defense of Shane.

I miss Al Snow as one of the RAW announcers.

With the recent emphasis to the RAW superstars to sell injuries at house shows, I suppose Kane will be wrestling the next few weeks with IV's in his arm and in a full body cast.

It's good to see the Big Bad Booty Daddy - Freakzilla back. Him and Test as a team. Could be good! But will Stacy stick around or end up back in Dudleyville?

La Resistance and Rob Conway attack Goldberg. He fights them off and they retreat. There's a good French joke in here somewhere just waiting to bust out!

Chris Jericho, Christian, & Coach's gripes against Steve Austin are all good legit gripes. And Austin wants to beat their asses and leads the audience in a big flip-off to the Board of Directors. I sense a Linda McMahon appearance (grab your pillows) coming soon.

RVD and Lance make a great team. So do Vitamin C. The tag team picture on RAW is really starting to pick up!

First, he's "not a suckah" and now he's a "C.L.B."! Ha! Christian is definitely the Rodney Dangerfield of RAW. He get's no respect.

Lance Storm and Chris Jericho on opposing sides. I guess I'll never get to see that big Thrillseeker reunion I've been hoping for.

Wasn't it good to hear HHH slip the old Ted DiBiase line "everybody has a price" into his promo. 'Tres cool!

Ric Flair and Randy Orton. Mark Jindrak & Garrison Cade. What was I saying about the tag team picture on RAW?

Jindrak & Cade need a nickname. How about "Pure Vanilla"?

Watching him wrestle, it's hard to believe Flair is at least 25-30 years older than everyone else in his match. And he's still the best. Still de' man!

A great moment - coming to the ring: Flair bows to Orton - Orton signals to Flair in a great sign of mutual respect and admiration.

Victoria gets better and better every week. Watch her mannerisms in the ring. She sells every movement and every hold - and plays the character just too damn good.

It's Monday Night - but it was still great to see Stevie Night Heat. He is one of the most underrated guys in the biz. Loves the RTC gimmick, and love the GM of Heat role too. Funny!

Maven's off the top neckbreaker is just an accident waiting to happen.

All things considered - Mark Henry versus Goldberg was actually OK.

Goldy spears HBK. After the match - Goldy just glares at HBK while playing to the audience. Please tell me that HBK- (the real HBK - the DX HBK) is coming back - even if only long enough to kick Goldy's ass!

Where was Rico & Miss Jackie??

The more I hear JR announce now, the more I miss Coach. And to paraphrase DDP - "That's a good thing" - NOT!

OK - that's enough for now. It's just my opinions and comments and that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Later all!!!

-Doug
