Wrestling TV Guide - 9/27/03
I was going through a box of old magazines (I really need to get rid of some of this stuff someday!) and came across a TV Guide - dated December 5. 1998. It was a special issue with four covers of Hollywood Hogan, Goldberg, Undertaker, and Steve Austin. The feature article was about WCW and the WWF and the so called Monday Night Wars..
Looking back, five years later - it's pretty interesting. But there's also a list - (and you know we all love lists) about 5 Reasons To Love Wrestling. It's really dated, but kind of cute anyhow, so here it is..
Five Reasons To Love Wrestling
1. Unlike Starr versus Clinton, in wrestling, the bouts don't last forever and the bad guys are easily identifiable.
2. It allows us to one day dream of seeing the Spice Girls versus Degeneration X!
3. No animals are injured in the course of simulating violence.
4. At last, a place where Dennis Rodman doesn't feel like an outsider.
5. In the post-Cold War era, it's nice to think this is the closest thing we have to life and death struggles between good and evil.
OK, so it's not Letterman, but things are slow and I'm bored.
