(Retro) Sunday Night Heat - September 27, 2003

Sunday Night Heat - 9/27/03

What up all! It's the 27th of September and it's Sunday night, so it's time for the *exclusive* DXSI Sunday Night Heat Recap. I'm Doug M., your ever loving degenerate host here on the Recap! Heat was a great show with a lot of action - coming to us taped from Washington, DC on Spike TV. The guys with the mics are Al "The King" Snow and "Good Old" Coach. Let's jump right into it...

But first..last week on my Unforgiven predictions, I scored a perfect 100%.. Either the WWE is getting a little too predictable or else I've been watching this stuff way too long and am starting to think like the WWE creative powers that be! Lord, I hope not! But a big "self - high - five! to me"..

And now (and it's about time, I know) let's face the Heat!
We start with a replay from RAW as Coach and Al Snow (to the thunderous applause of their fans) make their way to the RAW announce position. The opening montage plays and we are on the air.

Val Venis versus Stevie Richards w/ Victoria

What better way to start the show than with Stevie Night Heat! Stevie and Val talk some trash to start. A lock up and Val goes to the arm. Stevie with a reversal and Val slaps the taste out of his mouth. Some fists by Val and he goes back to the arm. Val plays to the crowd a bit and grinds to Victoria. Some fists and a two count. Val gets too close to the rope and Victoria grabs the leg. Stevie takes over with a suplex and a neckbreaker for 2.

Stevie chokes Val a bit on the ropes and does a big splash for 2and 1/2. Knees and a Stevie-plex as Richards stays in control. Val fights back with fists and nails a sidewalk slam on Stevie. Stevie goes to the eyes, but Val nails a "Shades of Arn Anderson" spinebuster. Some fists and Val goes back to the arm. Stevie makes the ropes and Val is forced to break his hold. Val chops away at Stevie, but Stevie lands a boot and goes for the pin with his feet on the ropes. The ref catches him and breaks the count. Victoria climbs to the top rope, and Val slams Stevie into Victoria. A big slam by Val and he picks up the pin.

Winner: Val Venis

After the match, Val is teasing throwing his towel to the fans. Stevie and Victoria do a Stevie-sneak attack and work over Val - laying him out..

A message from one of our soldiers as Sgt. Robert Schroder sends his love to his family.

A taped look back at the RUNDOWN premiere last Monday night! Rock and his friends from the movie talk about the movie and each other. This weekend, The Rundown is the Number 1 movie in the country. Whoo-hoo!

Rodney Mack w/Theodore Long versus Jason Poracho

It's not billed as a "white boy challenge" but that's pretty much all this is. Teddy is juking and jiving all over the place. Mack and Jason lock up and Mack goes to an armbar and just piefaces Poracho. A stomp and Mack tells him to stay down. A headlock by Mack. Poracho reverses and catches a forearm to the back of the head. Jason lands a boot, but is caught (partially) by a sloppy clothesline by Mack coming out of the corner. Mack drops elbow after elbow on Jason and then catches him with a SPINEBUSTER OF DOOM! The cover and pin and another white boy bites the dust!

Winner: Rodney Mack w/ Theodore Long

A look back at RAW from last Monday as Christian and RVD battle for the IC title. Christian nails RVD with the title and gets DQ'ed - thus keeping the gold. Christian pulls a ladder from under the ring, and after working over RVD - nails a big splash on RVD from atop the ladder. As a result - Stone Cold has made an IC title match for tommorow night on RAW - a ladder match between Christian and RVD..

WWE Sting of the Night: Shane takes the dive off the Unforgiven set at the PPV.

A look back at RAW as Coach interviews Shane McMahon from his hospital bed. Shane is rambling on - and Kane is there and attacks. Kane beats the crap out of Shane and leaves him laying in a bloody mess. And tells him "get well soon!". Funny!

Rico versus Arch Kincaid

Rico was all alone tonite as Miss Jackie is off on a Diva photo shoot. But Rico is flaming extra hard to make up for her absence. Arch is reluctant to lock up with the flaming one, but they finally do. Arch gets a headlock, and Rico responds with an assgrab. How's that for a counter? Rico gets a headlock and nails Arch with a shoulderblock. Face off and Rico jumps into Arch's arms and kisses him. Funny!

Arch is upset. Rico grabs Arch in an unorthadox waist lock - Arch responds by slapping Rico in the ass! And Rico smiles. He likes it. I'm about to die here! Rico slaps Arch! Arch slaps Rico. CATFIGHT! Just back and forth -and then Arch lands a single leg takedown and a hiptoss to Rico. Rico responds with a kick and knee to the face.

Some fists, forearms and chops by Masa Rico. Rico goes to clubbering on young Arch. A Macho Man axhandle from the top by the flaming one. Arch fights back, but Rico is too much. A neckbreaker and Rico goes to the top. A big moonsault by Rico, but Arch moves. An atomic drop and backdrop by Arch. Arch is in control, but goes to the top. He comes off and is met by a perfect dropkick by Rico to the gut. A spinning heel kick by Rico and he gets the cover and pin.

Winner: Rico

After the match, Rico kneels by his fallen victim and gives him a gentle kiss on the hand. Sweet!

Another message from our soldiers: Specialist Christopher Kerregan sends out a big hello to his family and Lita.

WWE Rewind: From RAW on Monday night, Eric Bischoff is brutally speared by Goldberg.

A look back at Monday Night and the World Championship match between Chris Jericho and Goldberg. Goldy grabs Eric Bischoff who has just pulled the ref from the ring, and Jericho nails him with a low blow. Jericho hits the lionsault on Goldy and Eric makes the count, but only gets a two. Steve Austin comes down and attacks Bischoff. Jericho is distracted by this, and gets speared by Goldberg. A jackhammer and the ref makes the count as Goldberg retains his championship.

Related note here - a big congrats to Chris Jericho and his wife Jessica who became the proud parents of a little Jerichoholic on Wednesday night when Jessica gave birth to a little boy named Ash Edward. Now back to the show!

A video recap of the history between Stacy Keibler, Test, and Scott Steiner is shown to the music of "Suffocate" by the band Cold! Sounds real good!

Scott Steiner versus Crowbar

Crowbar is looking as demented as ever and it's good to see him back in the big time. But where he's at, can Dafney be far behind? Match starts with Crowbar rushing Steiner - and getting nothing but chops and a big suplex for his efforts.A Steinerline sends Crowbar to the floor. Big Poppa comes out and slams the former WCW hardcore champ into the steps, giving him a few boots for good measure. A big suplex by Steiner on the ramp, and Crowbar is pretty much out. Back to the ring and Steiner nails another stiff clothesline and the big elbow drop. Steiner does some push-ups and puts a boot in Crowbar's gut - and then plants him. Hard! The cover and the pin.

Winner: Scott Steiner.

Well, that's the show. It was pretty decent. Rico and Arch Kincaid stole the show, and it was good to see the return of Stevie Night Heat as well. Be sure to tune into RAW tommorow night on Spike TV. It's a ladder match for the Intercontinential Championsip, plus The Coach and JR lock up to see who will be the announcer for RAW. Also, Steve Austin attacked Eric Bischoff "unprovoked" last week on RAW. Will there be reprocussions this week. Tune in and see.

And I'll see you there as well. Much like Al and Coach, I'll be handling the RAW Report tommorow night as well. It looks to be a great show, and I can't wait.

Well, that's it! Send me some feedback here at the Informer at DougMaynard@wrestlinginformer.net or else at my other mailbox, Doug28352@yahoo.com. I want to hear from all the Informer fans out there. Well, see you tommorow. Ieave you now with the Heat line of the night!: "Rico needs to stop punishing this lad and put him to bed!" - Al Snow..

Good night all!

-Doug M.
