Stuff - July 17, 2003

Just some stuff to think about...

In the early 90's, Marvel Comics published a comic book based on WCW. It only lasted a couple of issues. (I have #1 and #2).

Kevin Nash and The Undertaker have also had comics published about them.

Dusty Rhodes used to be a spokesperson for "Goody's Headache Powders".

The name Chris Chavis used while wrestling for the WWF, Tatanka, was stolen directly from the movie "Dances With Wolves".

In the early 90's, both Blackjack Mulligan and his son Kendell Windham served time in Florida prison for counterfeiting.

Up until the late 80's, George "the Animal" Steele also worked as a teacher and football coach. He would only wrestle on weekends and during school breaks. Spike Dudley, Shane Douglas, and Baron Von Raschke have also worked as school teachers.

Jerry Lawler and the Honky Tonk Man are real-life cousins.
Konnan was the original man to play "Max Moon" in the WWF. He was fired quickly and replaced by Paul Diamond.

Before becoming a professionial wrestler, Bam Bam Bigelow worked as a professionial bounty hunter. "Dr. D." David Shultz also worked as a bounty hunter.

That's enough for now - later all...
